I wouldn't put it that harsh but I pretty much agree with this. I am still surprised at the fondness for the guy. I didn't dislike him but his whining got old.

I was a mod (ya know the salad days of CP) at the time that he pretty much left for good. I remember instead of going back and forth with him all the time I pretty much said "Look, CP is what it is. It is a place that is a little rough around the edges and it will always be that way. If it isn't for then I understand that but you should see this board for what it is."

I watched a game with Gaz one time. He was very cool and fun. I enjoyed his wit and third person sign off lines. He and I are very different people and I really do not see him as a pussy because he no longer enjoyed the Planet. I really cannot see how toughness or weakness can be defined at place that uses fake names and is on the safe haven of your screen. frazod put out a solid list~

I hear ya. He is a different type guy. He seemed older than me and had a lightning bolt earring He is a engineer and they are a breed of their own. As I said I had a good time and enjoyed talking to him here on the planet. If he made a ruckus or put out one of those feel sorry for me leaving threads I would have a issue. This place has grown quite a bit since I joined and it became clear that some of the oldtimers did not like it. It is open topic and I have friends here that is why I come around. I do take long breaks and do not enjoy this place as much as I once did~

I'm sure it isn't just the foul language that has driven not only Gaz away, but several others. I don't expect this to be a prayer meeting, but the "pack attack mentality" of this place has gotten much worse. We are a rather large group of (mostly) men who are talking about our favorite passion...sports. And with that comes alot of macho bravado....much like it would even if this was a face-to-face discussion. But not being face-to-face makes it easier for people not to have to account for some sense of decorum when chatting. Or, at the very minimum, a sense of respect for people who are having to deal with everyday personal issues.

And just so we account for it...I grew up in a family of Teamster truck drivers so I have a pair.
