Yep, raiders.
He had 504 yards. Trick is, the Raiders won, 49-31. That was November 5, 2000. |

Me and you are apparently the minority around here.

Our leading rusher that year that Girlback threw for 4k was Tony Richardson with 697.

Girlbac had 8 fourth quarter comebacks & 13 game-winning drives in his short and mediocre career.
He once threw for 500 yards and 4,000 for a season. And was without anything similar to heart, determination, or drive.

You may be the minority, but you're not the only ones.
If he played for somebody other than the Jets I might be more of a fan, but I want him to crash and burn since he's on a New York team. Makes me a bit sick that they're so good defensively that he's getting into the playoffs, and winning games, despite the fact that he's just not a very good QB so far. (Never bothered me with Roethlisberger, for instance, who I liked coming out...) Part of it's also the Cassel/Sanchez thing. I never wanted Cassel and I've never been a fan of the guy, but the pro-Sanchez guys are so obnoxious about it sometimes that it's hard not to root against him. |

Sanchez is a great story, but as of right now, he seems like an improved Trent Dilfer. Give him a couple more years, and he could legitimately be described as "great", but I don't think he's there yet.

![]() ![]() Oh bullshit. When Cassel was playing well against the cream of the crap, people couldn't WAIT to bring up Sanchez's lackluster regular season play as a means of validating their belief in He Who Shit's Himself. It's reeruned. Sanchez seems to be able to make something happen when it needs to happen more than Cassel does, regardless that both teams carry the QB more often than not. Can you honestly deny that Sanchez stepped-up when it REALLY neded to happen? Can you deny that Cassel forces shit when he's been faced with a situation where something absolutely NEEDED to happen with his personal play? And that the result was a resounding ShitMyPants(!)? Come... the ****... ON, man! Ridiculous.
