Anyone Ever Learn A New Language?

basically, there's alot of mexicans moving in, and with my job, it would be very nice if we could actually communicate verbally instead of hand signs and the translator on the phone (usually a friend of their's who actually learned our language).


And i don't think it would be a bad thing to expand my knowledge for the future.

livemocha.com is good. Pawnmower does bring in some good shit from time to time and this is one of them.

Get Pemsliur for Spanish in your mp3 player. Use it while you drive, work out, piss, shit and sleep. You will be able to get yourself started and with using it everyday, you should be fine in 3 or 4 months.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but how does this statement indicate that Sofa King NEEDS to learn Spanish? He just mentioned that it would be nice if he could actually communicate with them.

I create commercial business graphics and I don't NEED to know how to create a pdf, but it would be nice to know how if it helps me in my field. Correct? How is that any different from Sofa King's statement?

Donger isn't a moron. He has a solid point that nobody should be forced to learn another language. But this isn't about that. Sofa King just WANTS to expand his mind and learn a different language.

It's not really as simple as that, Lumpy. He wants to learn Spanish so that he can be more proficient at his job. And the only reason for that his clientele refuse to speak the language of the country they have illegally entered.

Yes, being able to communicate using language is easier than it is using hand signals. He doesn't NEED to learn Spanish, you're right, he can just keep communicating using his hands. So the options are:

- Keep communicating using hands.
- Mexicans should learn to speak English if they're working in America.
- Americans should learn to speak Spanish if they're working in America.

Which one is the most logical to you, sweety?

Thats not good enough, they have to speak and read and write college level English even though they are illiterate in their own language.
