Anyone Ever Learn A New Language?

I was considering learning Spanish.

Anyone ever learned a new language? is so, what did you use to learn it? what was your experience? how long did it take to do so?

i took a couple years in high school, but that was a long time ago and i've forgotten much of what i skipped then.

Try Rosetta Stone. My kid asked me for that at age 13 to learn Japanese.

Me, I learned pig Latin from a friend. It didn't take more than that. Like perhaps 10 minutes?


And some Greek when I worked with Greeks in a Greek restaurant. A few Italian expressions from my father who spoke Italian before he spoke English, so I could say some things to my Nona on holidays.

I learned all kinds of bad expressions when I worked in a Greek restaurant in art school! I didn't know what one meant and the chef grabbed me by the neck and lifted me off the floor while he turned beet red in anger shaking me.

It turned out to be: "Eat shit and go to hell!"
