every lefty I ever faced (and I remember, as I bat left handed) that through even 83-85 MPH was drafted...now they never signed, or were offered a contract, or were worth a shit...
but teams look anywhere and everywhere for left handed pitching talent |

I could probably hit atleast 80.
I was hitting 60 when I was still playing little league. Yet, I played in the outfield. I didn't pitch because if I tried to throw it as hard as I could I would have probably made Rick Ankiel look like Greg Maddux. The impressive part isn't hitting 80mph. It's controlling it to be worth a damn. |

I played outfield because of my speed and arm. Oh btw, I was always hitting 3rd over .500 through out highschool. That is until I stopped playing for the Varsity coach who later ended up in prison. You act like you are some hot shit because you throw 80. Whats that get you on? A girls fast pitch softball team? |

Well, I will ask the same of you. But I mentioned an injury to my arm. Yes the scouts were drooling and wanted me to come out after my jr. yr but I chose stay in for my Sr. season because I wanted to complete my degree. Sure I could have made a bigger $$ coming out as a junior but baseball believe it or not was secondary. It was important to me to get my degree. Well, the beginning of my Sr. season, opening day tore my rotator cuff and never was the same. Never could break 78 mph. Well now you know the rest of the story. ![]() |

brah that's not how baseball works you don't "come out" you can be drafted after graduating high school...or after you turn 21 (or be a junior in college)... you don't "come out"... Michael Vick was drafted to play baseball and he hadn't played baseball since 7th grade or "asked" to be drafted...he just was...and I think in the 13th round. If you were throwing 90 MPH as a lefty in college as a junior...you would have been drafted...period. And very highly. and you wouldn't have had to come out, or declare, or ask, or anything...they would have just drafted you...and then notified you...and then you could have said "uhm sorry I'm going to complete my degree"... so again... sorry you're "misremembering" things |

I also never met a single GOOD little league player who played outfield...so there's that ![]() but I'm sure you were on the LLWS... and if you hit 3rd and hit .500 all through high school (until you magically quit)... then again you would have had scholarship offers to a bunch of JUCO (the way to go if you're good at baseball) or 4 years...and you wouldn't have quit so you're full of shit too I mean... if you guys are going to be liars at least make it believable |

Mike Vick:
http://www.usatoday.com/sports/baseb...t/draftfs5.htm so a lefty freak athlete who didn't even play baseball was drafted in the 30th round... but our "white lightning" college baseball stud who hit 91 on the gun as a lefty wasn't drafted because he didn't "declare" (lol)... come on guys...if we're going to "stretch the truth", at least have a believable story. |

Every good LL player plays in the LLWS? I was offered scholarships. However, I went to a trades school instead. Wish I didn't too be honest. I miss baseball alot, but thats life. I could probably still take acouple classes at a JC and play, I'm only 23, but after being out of the sport for 6 years I'm not in the same shape. But you go on talking like you know everything. I mean... Every person that is good at sports always continues on that path. I'd take acouple pics of the cheap ass trophy I have with my BA engraved on it. But, tbh, you aren't worth the 30 seconds it would take to take the pic, transfer it to my computer, and upload it on this forum. |

you weren't Joe ****ing Mauer in high school...and if you were, you didn't quit because you didn't agree with the morals of your coach who just so happened to end up in prison!!! and if you were a total stud baseball player with a live arm in LL...you would have been a SS or at least a 3B...they might put A competent fielder in center but they don't waste supreme talent in LL in the outfield...doesn't happen. you guys aren't even good liars |

I bring up baseball and the first two responders are a southpaw who threw 90 MPH as a junior in college, had scouts drooling over him to "come out" (which worries me because I'm beginning to think these "scouts" were scouting him at a brothel of some sort) yet wasn't drafted...
and another guy who was Joe Mauer in high school but quit. Awesome. ChiefsPlanet rules. |
