I can narrow it down to Northern Florida. The interest first started when I went to Tallahassee about five years ago. I liked Orlando. I love the ocean, but I don't think I could live next to it (kinda loud). The drive to Jacksonville was beautiful. I guess I'll just have to save up and visit more to determine exactly where I might love more.

I was just in Orlando for 9 days, perfect weather for now. I have been there in June/July and it was the closest thing to hell I have ever been in. It rains every day for 10-15 minutes then it feels just like DaFace said.

Santa Barbara is the perfect weather year around. I was there at the end of July and first of August a few years back. 75 during the day, 50s at night, WONDERFUL. Got in the plane in KC to 106 with humidity out the ass, MISERABLE.

Florida's a nice place to visit for a week in the winter, when it sucks up north. That's about it. I lived in Tampa for two years. They had two seasons: 9 months of hot, and 3 months of really ****ing hot. The weather was the same every day: mostly sunny, hot, humid, with an afternoon downpour. It got so ****ing boring I'd cheer when a cloud blocked out the sun. And Florida is so flat that Space Mountain is the third-tallest (not a joke). I used to go out of my way to find a road that curved. The drivers are batshit crazy because they're the bad drivers from Boston and New York who then moved south when they got senile. The bugs are so big you could saddle them. The infrastructure is pushed to the breaking point for electricity and water, there's nothing but ugly identical strip malls (and pawn shops and porno movie houses), go a half-mile in from the coast and there's nothing but poor black people and orange trees, go south and there's nothing but Cubans and rich assholes, there are wrinkled Canadians everywhere clogging up the restaurants and roads in the winter... The whole state is a rainforest swamp that will go under as soon as the water levels rise. It has a few decent points (Disney, Key West, Cape Canaveral, the Salvador Dali Museum in St. Pete) but frankly I'd rather live in any other state.

Wow. The only thing I haven't been a fan of is hitting the start of Bike Week. I don't mind motorcycles, but they're EVERYWHERE!
