#23 - Kansas City Chiefs: Jonathan Baldwin, WR, Pittsburgh

A list of players who have lined up across from Dwayne Bowe this season: Chris Chambers, Terrance Copper and Verran Tucker. Bleh.

Jonathan Baldwin has struggled this year amid quarterbacking issues, but he's still a physical freak at 6-5, 230.

#54 - Kansas City Chiefs: Jabaal Sheard, DE/OLB, Pittsburgh

The Chiefs have only one reliable pass-rusher. Adding a solid complement across from Tamba Hali would take Kansas City's defense to the next level.

#87 - Kansas City Chiefs: Christian Ballard, DE/DT, Iowa

The Chiefs could use some help up front; they've struggled against the run lately after a great start to the season in that department.

I wanted Sanchez, hated the Cassel trade at the time too. Looking back since we weren't taking Sanchez I wish we'd taken Raji, Matthews or Orakpo.

21. Phil Taylor, NT, Baylor
I still question if general manager Scott Pioli will overlook the circumstances leading to Phil Taylor being kicked off the team at Penn State.

However, if he does not regret passing on B.J. Raji two years ago, he should. This is as close as he can get to correcting that mistake.

55. Leonard Hankerson, WR, Miami
It was really hard to watch the Chiefs trying to move the chains in their playoff loss to the Ravens. When Dwayne Bowe was taken out of the offense, it got ugly in a hurry.

Leonard Hankerson has been playing in big games since high school. He would add some pop to their offense.

86. Will Rackley, OT/G, Lehigh
The right side of the offensive line is suspect. Barry Richardson is showing signs he could hold down the right tackle spot, but they have taken a look at Will Rackley who would at worst provide depth there, and at worst step in at some point if Barry Richardson regresses.

118. Jake Kirkpatrick, C, TCU
Casey Wiegmann is running on fumes at this point.

People, Id be willing to bet almost anything that Phil Taylor isnt even on our board come draft time, as a first rounder anyway.

He is a classic boom/bust pick that Pioli doesnt make.

if we didn't take Terrance Cody with any of our first three picks last year, we aren't gonna select Phil Taylor with a high pick this year.

BTW, Teicher didnt write that article and it is far from where I derived that conclusion from.

Phil Taylor is NOT Terrance Cody.

I can see why there are some concerns, but they are NOT the same player at all.

you're right.

Cody showed he had the ability to dominate while having his weight go all over the damn place...Phil Taylor didnt dominate and had similar weight problems.

They arent the same at all.

I respectfully disagree.

Cody's 'want to' is a huge question mark.

Taylor's got one incident a couple of years ago that cost him a scholarship and he's since become a team leader and solid citizen.

His weight is no where near the problem that Cody's was-he's never been anywhere close to 380 lbs.

Production can be a question mark-but a lot of that depends on supporting cast-Cody had a great one. Taylor? not so much.

Not saying Taylor's got no question marks, but I'd call him less of a risk than Cody was. IMO.

I don't know where people are saying Taylor didn't play at a pro level at Baylor.

Have you seen the tape? The kid's very, very impressive. He looked golden at the Senior Bowl.

Cody, to me, was probably the better prospect. I truly despised Pioli in '10 for not drafting him in the 2nd round.

But Cody can't move. Taylor has some great athleticism.

But now watch Marcell Dareus absolutely dominate on EVERY single snap.

In the Phil Taylor video, you see:

* Great pursuit from the start of the play to the end of a play.
* Uncommon speed for a guy in the neighborhood of 340 pounds. Hell he runs like he's 290.
* OU doesn't run an NFL offense anyway, so it's not going to run the three-yards-and-a-cloud-of-dirt stuff that is vogue in the NFL.
* More high motor. Even when Tayor is beat, he recovers until the whistle blows.
* A great passrush, by NT standards.
* A bit of a project at anchoring. Though it appears he does so, above average.
* Good lord that Baylor defense is awful.
* He can move out of the phone booth.
* A natural two-gapper.

I'd say he's a big project. He flat out got blown off the play on a double team a few times in that video. We already have a NT who can suck that much when faced with a double team, and his name is Ron Edwards
