Off Season Lets Talk Guns
Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.
Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon? Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware? Part 2: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=293623 Last edited by Bearcat; 07-28-2015 at 06:06 PM.. |

That's your Sig, right? I'm really tempted to get that swat patrol model I saw, but I'm probably going to go the cheaper route for my first real gun. I've almost settled myself on that Rock River Arms kit I mentioned earlier in the thread - $789 to start, and then I'll spend a bit to trick it out.

P.S. Also, if you get the Sig, I'd advise to go ahead and get a couple Magpul mags because the stock one is crappy as hell (that's the one I have in the picture, but the replacements are in the mail).

Nothing specific, they just don't seem to be very popular with the 'experts' on the gun forums, as I didn't really know much about guns, I was just reading a bunch of old posts on the forums that came up in my searches. The RRA M4 was my immediate first choice (but I think the one I was going to get was like $1050) just because they looked so nice on their website.

This will probably be my next upgrade, although I'll wait and justify it as a birthday present to myself.

Magpul offers these stocks in "mil-spec" or "commercial-spec" - how do I know which one to get? I have a DPMS Panther Oracle. I've checked the manual, DPMS's website and the rifle itself and haven't been able to find anything that indicates what it is one way or another. EDIT - I figured it out. She is sweet, man, you will not be disappointed. I got my Magpul PMAG 30's today (the ones that show you the ammo level), probably going to go shooting with my new grip pod and the new mags next weekend.

Just a reminder - as April 15th approaches, Buy A Gun Day is upon us once again. I'm thinking of a small frame Glock like the 19 or the GAP 45 version, the Glock 38.
