***OFFICIAL Walterfootball.com Mock Draft Thread***

He updates his mock draft like once a week.....so I'll just post them when I see them.

http://www.walterfootball.com/draft2011.php

Quote:
#23 - Kansas City Chiefs: Jonathan Baldwin, WR, Pittsburgh

A list of players who have lined up across from Dwayne Bowe this season: Chris Chambers, Terrance Copper and Verran Tucker. Bleh.

Jonathan Baldwin has struggled this year amid quarterbacking issues, but he's still a physical freak at 6-5, 230.
Quote:
#54 - Kansas City Chiefs: Jabaal Sheard, DE/OLB, Pittsburgh

The Chiefs have only one reliable pass-rusher. Adding a solid complement across from Tamba Hali would take Kansas City's defense to the next level.
Quote:
#87 - Kansas City Chiefs: Christian Ballard, DE/DT, Iowa

The Chiefs could use some help up front; they've struggled against the run lately after a great start to the season in that department.

The first deviation from my 2011 NFL Mock Draft. Horray!

I don't think Phil Taylor is atop Kansas City's board or anything, but I've continuously mocked him to this spot because Scott Pioli needs a Vince Wilfork. He regrets passing up on B.J. Raji in 2009, and I don't think he'll eschew Taylor.
That's a shitty draft board

It would not surprise me at all if the Chiefs double dipped at receiver in the 2011 NFL Draft. There's just no talent at the position beyond Dwayne Bowe.

I would literally JIMP if this went down.

1. Dareus
2. Marvin Austin
2b. Martez Wilson
3. Taiwan Jones

I have actually seen people compare Taiwan Jones to Jamaal Charles. Being able to pound a team with a true workhorse back like Knowshon Moreno and then be able unleash the gimmick RB when the other team is tired would do wonders for Denver's running game.

EDIT: Here is the comparison with Jamaal Charles

Denver had a lot of success pounding teams with Mike Anderson and then putting in Tatum Bell. I have compared Jamaal Charles to Tatum numerous times. They are fast backs who are too small and fumble too often to be a reliable every down back IMO.

I've seen you try to make this horseshit claim several times in the past.

Charles has significantly reduced his fumbles every year. It's not the best in the league, but it's adequate. He fumbles no more often than any other 270-carry/season RB

haha

just because some running backs had success in Denvers system 10 years ago doesnt mean its gonna happen again anytime soon.

Mikes in Washington and his zone scheme went with him.

Get over it.

No running back that has missed as much time as Moreno should ever be called a "true workhorse back" thats a label for the Emmitt Smiffs, Marshall Faulks, Priest Holmes, Clinton Portis' (back in the day) of the NFL ....trying to squeeze Moreno in that is foolish at best...but then, look who we are talking to...

Think of it like this, kid...

What if Moreno was a first rounder of the Chiefs a couple years back and had the kind of career he has and anyone on the Planet called him a "workhorse back"

That person would be laughed out of town.

Right?

Its shameful that people have to point that out for you.

John Fox ran the zone scheme in Carolina and he brought his OL and RB coaches with him to Denver. They are both VERY highly regarded btw.
