Has anyone looked at which of these guys were team captains? Seems they really gravitate toward those guys.

Pioli is presently debating will it be Pouncey, Carimi or Wisnewski(sp?) IMO. All safe picks.

Now, if you want to debate that Cassel is the QB that this team can win with, then that's an entirely different debate, and it's been hashed and rehashed.
And I think anyone that has read my posts/replies understands my thoughts on Cassel...and QB isn't the biggest need.

I know how you feel about Cassel.

I don't care.

I am only making the point that QB is the most important position.

Cassel hasn't yet proven either side of the debate right or wrong yet.

From that perspective, QB is still the greatest need.

it could be argued a WR and OL improvment = cassel improvment

you seem to be saying that like it's a bad thing?

well so far the "right 53" and the "safe pick" seems to have turned the Chiefs around in a shorter time than any of us imagined. Some people have done nothing but bitch since day 1 of Pioli's time ... give the guy a chance.

like that's a CP thing ... there a million different opinions about 90% of the players in the draft.

From the footage I've seen, he's slow and isn't really that great of a tackler. Doesn't always get the right edge in run support.

I'm not sure what the "experts" are talking about.

I see it a little differently. To me Ayres does his job very well but he doesn't look flashy doing it. He just does what he's supposed to do and makes it look to easy. Kind of like a studio musician compared to a live entertainer. The studio musician makes better music but the live entertainer makes what he does look harder and cooler.

What exactly would Cassel have to do to "prove" the debate wrong (i.e: That he is the right QB for the job) in your eyes?

I don't want to get into the debate, however I'm wondering what your measuring the debate on....
