Zombie Proof House

I didn't see this posted when I did a search....this is an amazing idea. The only problem I have with it is you would have your own power supply because if not, what do the concrete doors run off of when the world ends?

Shipping container homes might be an inexpensive way to indulge your fantasy.

Just have a roof entrance than can be shut and locked in the off chance you end up overrun and need to retreat to the safety of the barracks.
What’s “need” got to do with it? I just think it’d be trick to have them remotely controlled. It’d be like a video game, picking off zombies with my mourning coffee from the comfort of the control console.

Not to mention that it would be incredibly handly for removing the pile of corpes after the siege is broken. And since the walls are concrete, you don't have to worry about the house catching fire.
Napalm is a good point. Simple, effective, easy to come up with, but since we’re dreaming how about one of those belt fed grenade launcher things, Mk 19. Loaded with a cocktail of frag, H.E., maybe even throw some Whiskey Pete in there just for the effect.

Why not go all out and go with a couple of Vulcan Cannons?

Heh. I was talking about RM's desire for a nonconventional house. Not zombie proof housing.

Well that’s basically what a mini gun is, a miniature version of the Vulcan.
Another one I was thinking of is developing some robot Frisbees with razor blade edges that autonomously fly around lopping off zombie heads. But that’s as much to waste time, a way for me to dabble with fabricating something while I wait for society to rebuild and turn zombies into useful slaves than it is a actual security system.

True but what do you use to kill the zombie germ with? Bleach? Alcohol? Oh I hope its alcohol, something tasty like rum. Just as long as it isn’t tequila, that stuff makes me crazy.

Per one of my early posts, you then put a couple of those up nearby and rent them out so the zombies will get distracted eating those people instead of attacking your fortress. Renters are good for that.

That's like chumming the waters. Yeah, some zombies will go eat them, but others will wander onto your lawn. Plus once the zombie horde eats your neighbors, where do you think they're going to go for desert?

Besides, once they get eaten, they turn into zombies. So now you've got even more zombies on your lawn, PLUS some of them might still remember how you screwed them over and might have a bone to pick with you about it.

No, the best option is still to combine the unmovable object and the unstoppable force.

Fortress protected by minigun nests (and napalm....lots and lots of napalm)
