Oh ****: NFLN reporting we're looking to move up

but not for Julio Jones.

Mike Pouncey.

I don't have enough facepalm gifs for this.

Not a draft stacked blue chippers.

I don't think they will find a trade partner in the 6-10 range to get Jones and be happy with what they would have to give up. Only way i see it is if a team will take less than the chart indicates.

Jones and Bowe would be awesome i just don't think it happens.

A. Smith and Quinn i would move up to get, no doubt. Smith will probably go 10-12 so thats a tough move up to make.

Castanzo and Kerrigan i wouldn't be pissed if they moved up a few spots. The BC tackle is more versitlile than Carimi, more ready and safe than Solder and plays with a mean streak. Kerrigan isn't an elite rusher but fits the Tamba mold in relentless and is a film and gym rat that will work to improve.

I could see Miami trading back to 21 and taking Capernick.

If they take pouncey i sure hope he is closer to his bros skillset than some say. Markese or however you spell it had a good impact w/ the steelers. I don't want to take a G that early though. Better be sure he can adapt to C. Not only mechanics but mentally making the calls, etc.

Should be able to try and trade back a few spots and probably not lose out on Ayers or Taylor.

They have worked out C. Lieguet and Pea along with Wilkerson. I think they are trying to look at options for NT besides the huge NT's w/character concerns. Lieguet and Pea seem to fit the one gap schemes better. Depends on how much weight they can hold and be effective. Wilkerson probably couldn't play the nose but i wouldn't be pissed if they tried him there even if they had to move him to end. His highlights make him look like a pretty good prospect. Kid can move.

Wildcard is Baldwin and T. Smith. Just seems like most agree that the dropoff past the top 2 is very steep and there isn't a 3rd WR worthy of a first rd. pick.

3 more hours!

I would be very happy if this rumor were true.
As far as it being a smoke screen, I see a pattern...
-Everybody seemed to figure out that Pioli was going to draft Jackson in the days leading up to the draft
-Last year Pioli says "you don't take a safety with a top 5 pick". He totally threw everyone off
-This year everybody seems to figure that Pioli will trade up to get Pouncey.

See? It's elementary.

Riveting tale chap and all, but he didn't say "you don't take a safety with a top 5 pick." That was a line pulled out of Peter Kings fat ass.

Damien Woody never did master shotgun. That's why he was moved to Guard. For a fwe years he played Center if the QB was under center, and rotated to guard if we went shotgun. Oy...

The closest to Pioli saying that was, as best my rusty brain can recall, thomas dimitroff saying he didn't think Pioli would take one that high.
