That is a ton of young talent.

That isn't even including guys like Studebaker, Arenas, Sheffield, or even Gilberry and Smith.

It is just what I am projecting as the starting lineup by the end of the year.

The pieces are definitely in place to make other offenses suffer. It will be nice to take PRIDE in a Kansas City D after its been non existent for a decade and a half.

Plus by several accounts I've heard Herm was the type who would watch 5 minutes on a guy, then shut off the film and rave about him for 30 minutes, or discount him entirely.

Sounds about right. I have been spouting for the last 3 years about how Herm didn't have shit to with selecting any players, except for Brandon Carr.
Everyone would give all this credit to Herm for what a great talent evaluator he was, when there was zero proof that he ever had any say, in any war rooms.

Bullshit. How are we going to have a top defense with these players:

Hali - too slow, gets killed against the run
Dorsey - bust
Jackson - bust
DJ - can't tackle
Belcher - glorified special teamer
Berry - can't cover, abused by tight ends
Carr - huge liability, gets burned all the time
Flowers - too small and slow to match up with top receivers
Houston - pothead
Powe - dumbass
Bailey - thug

Kendrick Lewis is pretty good though. Building block.

No mention of playing him inside.

Not happening, guys. Give it up. That spot is Belcher's or Micah Johnson's.

I think you're giving Clark Hunt too much credit. He's a "hands off" guy. The rebuild is largely on Kuharich/Herm. From what I remember hearing after the firing, Herm and Peterson didn't get along largely because Herm wanted to build through youth and Peterson refused to.

It's a discredit to say he was a sacrificial lamb. His stubborn insistence on building a team the right way was instrumental to getting the Chiefs where they are today.
