HBO has given the production order.

They will be filming the pilot episode of A GAME OF THRONES.

It's just the pilot so far. They'll need to see that before they decide whether to proceed with a full season's episodes. So let's all hope the pilot will kick serious ass.

It should. David Benioff and Dan Weiss did a terrific job with the script. And yes, all of you can relax, it's very faithful. Dan and David will be the executive producers for the pilot and (we hope) the eventual series.

More details when I have 'em. The news is very fresh. HBO just issued their own press release, which should be up on their website soon, if it's not there already.

Winter is coming to HBO. Hot damn.

I didn't try to watch it, and I'm glad I didn't since it seems to have crapped out. Plus, like someone else said, if I had, I'd have had to go two weeks waiting for a new episode. Waiting one week sucks enough.

God that episode flew by. Tyrion and Dany coming into their own. Still no Jon Snow (which is fine. Not much important is happening on the Wall until a bit further down the road). Keep the storyline focused (which is going to become increasingly difficult as the series progresses).

The little episode summary was tricky. I was annoyed at myself for reading it, because I thought it had spoiled some things. It didn't.

"Tyrion confesses" I was like, "WTF? He had nothing to do with it!"

And then there was the episode title, "A Golden Crown" and "Viserys receives his final payment" In hind sight, it makes perfect sense.

When I read it, I had no clue.
