in all my baseball fandom I never thought I'd look back and say "gee, that bruce chen month was fantastic".
I wish the pac 10 plane would land.

What makes this funny is that while listening to all our bumble**** pitchers get hit around, I actually wondered to myself when Chen would be back.

I still cant believe I didn't notice that the guy picked the ball up from the top of the pad.
I was at the game and still haven't seen a replay. Was the call correct? Live it looked like it went over the LF's glove and into the fence for what I thought was a homerun. But it was hard to see and I was sitting between 3rd and left field.

It was impossible to tell live. On replay, it was a very clear and obvious ground-rule double. The umpires got it right. The fan had nothing to do with it, it was stuck on top of the pad, the fan saw it sitting there, and just picked up his souvenir.

edit: oh and by the way, it has to go over that little fence to be a home run. Hitting that little fence isn't good enough.

Cool, the fan didn't touch it from what I saw, someone to his left pointed it out and the LF'r put his hands up in the air. Kind of killed the momentum. Whole different ballgame if it actually would have went out
