Green Mile's Doug Hutchison, 51, Marries Aspiring Country Singer, 16

Age is just a number?

Green Mile actor Doug Hutchison and his new wife, Courtney Alexis Stodden, certainly think so. The 51-year-old actor said "I do" to the 16-year-old aspiring country star on May 20 in Las Vegas.

"We're aware that our vast age difference is extremely controversial," the couple told E! Online. "But we're very much in love and want to get the message out there that true love can be ageless."

According to Hutchison's website, "Mr. and Mrs. Hutchison live together happily ensconced in their Hollywood Hills home with their lil' pups Everette and Tuna!"

According to the Clark County, Nevada Marriage Bureau (as excerpted by PopEater) both marriage license applicants must be at least 18 years of age. This means one of Stodden's parents gave legal permission for their daughter to marry Hutchison, who is 35 years older than her.

Anyone know if 16 year olds are allowed to have boob jobs? Can't imagine those things are real, but if that's too young to get 'em done....

Actually, back when I was in high school rumor had it Brittany Spears' were fake and she was only 16. I'm voting they're fake. Nice, but fake.

As for the age difference, now that I'm over 40 I don't feel quite as "ew" about May-September (otherwise I'd feel more guilty for staring at college chicks, LOL). But I think it's one thing to be in a relationship with a girl young enough to be your daughter, and another level of skeeve when she's young enough to be your granddaughter (which this chick is... if he had a kid at 17.5 and his kid had a kid at 17.5 then that would put him at 51 when his granddaughter is 16).

Why would someone in this situation lie about something like that if she was really older? Normally people claim they are older, not younger.

She might lie because she is trying to advance her career. This would get her name out in the public due the the generally perceived outrageous nature of this marriage.
