Yea but when we faced good defenses, Oakland and Baltimore, we got our ass handed to us. We are facing much better defenses this year. I am not saying they didn't improve. I am saying that haven't improved enough to be Vermeil 2.0. Trent Green could read the ****ing paper and have a cup of coffee when he dropped back. Cassel rarely has time to throw a pass over 10 yards.

I hate to disappoint, but I don't think we'll ever SEE another Vermeil Line. That's asking so many things to fall in to place with a GM who seems rather iffy on drafting and developing those positions.
