Crazy to think the Jets are going to be able to make Asomugha work. They have so little room and many important players to resign.

If they are at the point that he is willing to take less money and key players will restructure contracts to make it work then you have to think that's quite impressive.

Maybe Sirius is wrong. But I thought I had read somewhere else - can't remember where - that face-to-face was not allowed, anything else is fair game.

i think they think Smith can hold it down for another year....though they may bring in an old vet

Who are all these important players?

They just re-signed their most important one, Santonio Holmes.

If they sign Asomugha, there's no need for Cromartie.

I wouldn't consider Braylon Edwards or Brad Smith important to their success.

They aren't going to play Smith at DT except in a limited situational role, as he was fairly effecitve in that situation last year. We're going to sign someone to compete at DT. It's a fact. I don't see us ponying up big money for Franklin or any other DT, we'll find a bargain. I imagine an inflated salary vs. value was why we let old Ronnie walk...
