Would they let Thomas go now? Seemed to be some potentially bad blood last year as they all but accused him of being soft not coming back from him injury quickly enough.

That's the thing, they didn't need to replace Bush.

Pierre Thomas becomes your 3rd down back.

I think they'd be pretty stupid to. He's a good fit on 3rd downs and when Ingram needs a breather.

Not sure if Thomas will be the same either after the various injuries he's had. Perhaps Sproles is insurance. The Saints love to stockpile talent. Heck, they were using Heath Evans in a productive way just a season ago. I think Sproles in spots can still be pretty effective, especially with the other threats the Saints can put in the field.
