Both come with serious positives and negatives.

Either could be a waste of money....either could be a great stopgap...depending on how long you think it will take for Powe to get up to NFL speed.

Do we *need* to upgrade? Not if it means not getting a NT.

*Should* we if given the opportunity? Damn right.

Wonder if Philly is on McClain's short list since they cut Leonard Weaver. He wouldn't get nearly as many carries there as he would in KC or Balt. And i think if i remember right he would like to play some RB too, not just a lead blocking FB.

Seriously. This condensed offseason seems to be exposing the truly stupid FO's in this league.

What if the Audi seemed to break down after it got paid off?

Seriously, Weigmann took him off his feet multiple times in the first half alone of the 49ers game last year.

I know that doesnt tell the whole story, but it IS a microcosm of it IMO.

Chicago's FO is overdue for an enema

Not sure bout Gregg I'm in the Franklin camp. When we did the alt draft for players three years ago I drafted Franklin and did my home work on the guy. I know how good he is. Maybe soon all you here will to.

One bad game doesn't equal microcosm. If that game was indicative of his whole season, sure, but it doesn't sound like that's the case.

Agreed OTW I've been waiting for a true NT on this team for awhile. How good dorsey is imagine a NT freeing him up more or DJ not getting blocked by the interior o line and able to roam free.

But while I think belcher is good up grading if we can get say a Barnett, if healthy, or equivalent will make this D darn right scary.
