Weaknesses/Improvements on Offense:

On offense we need: OL, RB, FB TE, WR

We seem pretty set at WR, but wouldn't mind bringing in another body for depth. Injury is always a problem for WR especially with this season, and we literally had to look for guys on the street right before a playoff game like 7 months ago.

Todd Heap would have been a great addition as another really good TE is needed for 2 TE sets.
An injury to TM hurts worse because he is the only serious TE threat we have and does have injury issues from college. Pope is meant for blocking and is not a real pass catching threat. Not having any depth or threat opposite TM should be an issue.

I think we have needed a good FB for a while, and a good one could really help whoever backs up Charles as well as the passing game. Answer: McClain. Everyone else knows this too so get it done.

Two yard Thomas doesn't cut it if you want to be in the playoffs. Especially if Charles gets more carries, he could be more worn when we really need him. Teams in the playoffs are very hard to run against so a 1-2 punch is essential. Answer: McClain fills two roles nicely and would confuse a defense if he would be blocking or running, as he does both very well.

I am of the belief Albert will be fine. We could use depth behind him though.

We have needed a RT who can excell at pass blocking for too many years and locking up this important position on the line would not only improve our line overall, but also our QB's play, making this position the most important on improving. Wish we could have gotten a top tier FA here. I don't know what options are left besides some sort of trade or crazy cut by a team with better depth.

Bringing in 4-5 guys could make our offense a real show again and even let Cassel do his best Trent Green impression.

they can probably get him 'cheap' now....dude has lost millions in value with no serious bidding for him

The NFL and NFL Players Association have details that need to be worked out. If the league year is pushed back, the new CBA rules would prevent players who were unsigned before training camp to participate in practice until the new league year begins.
