He is pretty good, and 100% better than 2 yard Thomas. But fans need their team to address obvious holes that have glaring to even the casual of fans.

We obviously need a RB that can get 3 yards when needed especially in a playoff game if Charles goes down from not enough carries

Charles came from Herm/Peterson. Can Pioli get us a backup RB or FB who doesn't suck?

We have also needed a NT, LB, RT since he got here and I would like us to get one before we have new holes/needs. Having a speedbump on the RT is not going to make Clark's 60 mil project at QB any better. I want Cassel to suceed, I don't want him to suck eggs. Every fan knows we have those holes, so go out and freaking fix them dear Pioli. Just my opinion of course.

Well Shaun Smith is the one guy everyone argued with me this time last year. I thought he would be the NT, but that didn't happen because Jackson got hurt. He did damn good at both positions in Cleveland but no one wanted to believe it.

Still hope that happens. Even though I've heard him described as a "luxury". Parkins on 610 was talking about how we were already the #1 rushing team, so signing him shouldn't be a priority.

You should always be trying to get better. You know the cliche...

If we get McClain and Warren and hope a RT either develops or becomes available I think we will be very solid. Hell a broken Gaither can't be worse than what has been out on the field at RT the last few seasons.

To me he's only a luxury if he costs us something else. There's no way his contract would impact our ability to sign any other players. We might have been the nuber one rushing team, but we could have been EVEN BETTER. Why not go for great?
