Little scat back, Rams need more beef than that to give Jackson a breather.

If Zach Miller received a long-term deal _ we're still checking _ the hawks could offer TE John Carlson and a draft choice for Osi. |

I know, I know. And teams that dive into FA don't go far in the playoffs. But the last time the Chiefs won a playoff game was when they did go big in free agency with Joe Montana and Marcus Allen. Both worked out prettty good. |

Here's the Zach Miller contract with the Seahawks: 5 years, $34 million, including $17 million guaranteed. |

And it makes sense. If you're adding true core talent to your team through free agency, then you're overpaying.

It's kinda amazing.
We've definitely upgraded one position, slightly upgraded another and signed a depth player - and yet we've improved ourselves more than any team in the division - by doing next to nothing. Everyone else is going backwards while we (mostly) stand pat. I'm sure this was all part of Pioli's master plan. Just need Denver to trade Orton now. |
