If you watch the last 4 games of last year, you notice both our lines got pushed back off the line of scrimage playing the league's easiest schedule.
This year will be alot tougher. We have the money and one of the highest paid GM's.

NFL franchises with the longest playoff game victory drought

Cincinnati Bengals 1990 Wild Card Playoffs

Detroit Lions 1991 Divisional Playoffs

Kansas City Chiefs 1993 Divisional playoffs

That is real great company. This is what has to change.

A league sources tells the Baltimore Sun that the asking price for Giants DE Osi Umeyiora has dropped to a second-round pick.
The same source confirms that five teams are in the hunt, including the Ravens and Patriots. Several members of the Ravens front office are urging GM Ozzie Newsome to pull the trigger, but he's reportedly concerned about Umenyiora's history of hip and knee injuries. Newsome also has salary cap issues to consider with Ray Rice and Joe Flacco in line for extensions. Signing Haloti Ngata to a long-term deal would helping free up space, lowering his 2011 salary.

This is a great post.

Welker was and underrated WR when he was with Miami and blossomed into a great slot reciever and maybe a future hall of famer. He had 3 seasons with at least 110 Catches. And Bess a sure handed go to reciever who has All Pro talent he just doesnt have a QB to throw him the ball. I just like this Manno kid he has a big chip on his shoulder and wants to prove everyone wrong. And how do you know if McCluster is good? The punt return? the 22 yard TD against the 49ers? those were the only two plays. He was hurt for most of the season.

I would like a RT... I'm okay with Gregg for now. I think Romeo will put him to good use. Although I do think free agency is probably less effective in football than most any other sport. You can certainly have success... but it seems more often than not it's the under the radar stuff that works out. Or the stuff like Drew Brees who was considered damaged goods but really was a superstar waiting to happen. The Asomugha type moves never seem to work out as well in real life. Then again we gave Breaston a solid contract... I think that could end up being a real boom/bust move.

I don't think this offseason has been that bad on here though, probably because it only took a couple weeks. Didn't have the build up and the apocalyptic fall out when we didn't sign Hugh Douglas or Troy Vincent.

We have Langford, and McGraw as our back ups I believe. Nothing to be confident about...But depth at any position is good. Safety isn't a major concern right now. But I still say we should have signed Quintin Mikell.

I think Gregg could end up being better in the long run. Sure hes on the decline. But I'll take someone who has been starting at NT for the Ravens over someone who doesn't fit the scheme and no team wants. Gregg is a sound NT. He knows exactly what hes doing. Hes like another Vrabel type who will take Powe under his wing. Powe is set up to be great. He has all the talent in the world. He has a mentor like Gregg. He has the best 3-4 DL coach in Crennel. His actual DL coach played his entire career under Crennel and is another sound technique type guy like Gregg. His GM is a DL guy, oh and he has Haley to keep him working hard.

Not only would Franklin take a shit after getting paid on top of not fitting the defense anyways, but we would be stuck with him in a few years paying him more than our starter Powe.
