You put Eli on that Steeler team, and they might have gotten to that first SB, but no way in hell does he take them to the other two, and win the 2nd, because Roethlsberger, until that final failed possession against Green Bay, consistently came up big in big moments.

Eli can be good. His problem is just consistency. He really made a lot of big plays during that Super Bowl run. I don't know what happened, but he regressed after that season.

During that SB run, he made on huge play, the Tyree helmet catch.

The rest of the plays he made were simply making good reads and good throws, which he hasn't done consistently before or since.

Which is essentially what I was saying.
