Your post worries me...

It shows how distant this organization has been from a franchise quarterback that when a completely average qb [at best] comes in here an has good games against teams with losing records...fans embrace him.

I said at the end of Cassel's first year that he'll probably end up like Steve Bono. That looks like what's happening here. Decent year in terms of TD vs. INT. 3500+ yards. Bad completion %. Horrible 3rd down conversion %.

Last year Cassel had a decidedly Bono-esque season from 1995. I suspect we're well on our way to seeing a 1996 Bono-like performance.

Can this team win with Steve Cassel? Sure. But I don't see the 1995 defense out there to keep us in the game.
