The heat definitely contributed. I had Basic in Augusta, Georgia during the summer and it was hot and very humid. During the training session, we had to put on our masks and march into a bunker full of CS gas. That's when I found out that my mask leaked.

I got extra time exposed to the gas. Fun times.
