Very likely. I love the Chiefs but it was borderline that we had playoff success this year WITH Berry, Charles, and Moeaki. Losing those guys was a big loss. I'm not being a hater, it's just hard for a team to overcome that kind of loss. I like the fight these guys have and they clearly have good chemistry. We just have to keep building and getting better, and adding depth. It takes time.

I agree. This is NOT a playoff caliber team yet...with or without Cassel. A playoff caliber team would have won this game going way. We're need more depth across the board. I didn't get to see the game, but it sounds like my concern about the size/weight of our O-line was a real problem today. Back when the Chiefs had one of the better lines in the NFL, they were large and athletic. I don't like undersized lines. Same goes for D-line, we need bigger, better, guys up front.

The o-line was generally poor in pass protection, but surprisingly opened up a few holes for Battle. Play-calling didn't help us though as we kept trying to run Battle around the end and almost always resulted in negative yards. This may be the worst I've seen the D-line play all year. Even when we blitzed (which was not very often) we couldn't reach Moore.
