That decision hasn't changed, no. But until they DID something to give us an indication as to what that decision might be, we could at least hope.

Now we know what their thinking is - they don't want to draft, groom, or otherwise deal with a young QB. Young QBs cost coaches their jobs.

I like this. This means Cassel is done and we'll be drafting a QB in the first round next year and we'll groom him. I'm probably in the minority.

Guys guys, you're missing the front office acumen here.

Orton is going to be used for two objectives only.

1. We're going to mine him for his Chicago knowledge before we play them. He's gold in this role.

2. He'll use revenge-strength to beat Denver when we play them again.

His contract is getting reworked to reflect his new goals.

No problem. heh.
