Honestly, Yngwie was a technician like no other but he just didn't have "it".

I didn't realize just how hollow it was until I saw my 13-year old nephew playing Guitar Hero and hammering out solos like a pro, even though he'd never played the guitar.

No Tom Scholz (Boston), played the 12 string as good as anybody on 6.? He played every instrument before their 1st LP.

Also I remember years ago when Ace Frehley was touted as one of the best to ever play & he's not even @ the bottom. I know he influenced Dimebag & several others.

I'm not even a country fan (although I was certainly exposed to it when I was younger), but Roy Clark could out play a vast majority of those listed (and then play fiddle, banjo, mandolin and steel guitar over their corpses).

I think this is a great list of songwriters. Leave the top 100 guitarist list to magazines like Guitar World. I'm not even a fan but there's no way Satch/Malmsteen/Vai is less of a guitar player than Johnny Ramone. And I LOVE the Ramones.
