Rodney Hudson

Should be our starting LG going forward.

We had a yard to three yards of push on the Steeler DL all day.

Part of this, I absolutely have to believe, was thanks to Hudson's great work.

He was great in pass defense, good in the run game against one of the league's best, and excellent at the second level.

We got a winner there. I don't even know if I'd move him to center when it's all said and done.

This team sucks dick because...

1. We have not had a QB all year.
2. Big Time Injuries
3. Tough Schedule
4. We play up or down to the level of our competition (coaching)

It's possible he is. We don't know. I think what you're missing is what factors in if you were to move him.

- That means we then spent a 1st on a Guard. Waste.
- We have to then look for a LT. Typically the good ones are drafted in the first.
- All of a sudden we're looking for two Tackles going into next year when RT is far worse shape.
- LT is simply very, very low in our list of needs.

A move like that I think would be only for a team that is so loaded with talent, they could afford to make the move. We obviously cannot.

I agree with all those points. This certainly isn't a subject I am going to debate. I like Albert. I think we could still do a little better at LT but the point of priorities is a very good one. I wouldn't want us wasting a high pick on a LT, especially with our QB situation.

I spending $ on a RT in FA if possible. Having 3 players in their 1st-3rd years isn't great if you are planning to put a young QB back there, although that in itself might be a pipe-dream.

Gaither, Albert, Hudson, Asamoah, RT from either FA or draft...

I believe that Gaither is healthy enough. If you've payed attention to opponents field goal attempts, he is the middle man trying to block the kick, b/c he's ****ing huge. He has been stepping on the back of the longsnapper and trying his ass off to get in there to block the kick. You don't do that if you are really worried about your back, and you DEFINITELY don't ask someone with back problems to do something like that. Especially beings he's come down face first a few times.

I think, beings they had a shortened offseason, Haley didn't want wholesale change. You can see that in our draft as well. We've asked most up until this year, to play a large role and help, this year, not so much. Gaither had no offseason, so sign him for a year, an extended tryout, give him that full year to learn the playbook, then make the switch next year. Got to realize putting him at LT affects Albert too. So not only would Gaither have had to learn the entire offense in this short offseason, but Albert would have had to also.

Next year, we have a guy who had a whole year to learn, and a full offseason to get reps and make the offense second nature.

I have to believe this is true, it's my only hope we don't draft a LT #1 overall. This could be their plan and they still draft a RT #1 overall, wouldn't that be the shits? I guess it would be a solid OL though huh?

Moving Albert to left guard is ****ing stupid. Gaither isn't the answer either you morons at either positon. If he was they would have him in there or mainly Baltimore wouldn't have cut him.

We need to draft a center preferably Michael Brewster from Ohio State. Right tackle I have no clue - Riley Rieff from Iowa would be good if we went the true fan route but other than sign a free agent or find something in the draft. In all honesty its not that big of a deal as Chiefs fans make it out to be.

You don't think that RT is an issue that needs to be looked at? There certainly are ways of dealing with it, especially since RT doesn't need to be done with a 1st round pick and we also have money, but I would say its something we need to fix.

Gaither may not be the answer but teams have cut players that end up working out other places so saying that since he was cut he won't work is not entirely true. The Chiefs also play Thomas Jones so the idea that them not playing somebody proves their worth or lack-there-of is also not a lock.

The Chiefs should draft a center, a year after they drafted a center (Hudson) in the second round of the draft?

Yes that is a brilliant strategy, dumbshit.

Umm, you are the dumbshit. Hudson was drafted to play C, but mostly played G in college. He'll be very solid at either position.
