House was just robbed. Keep an eye out.

About 40 mins ago. Roland Park area a few blocks west of Oklahoma Joe's. Took a huge TV...laptop computer...and a gun amongst some other things. Seemed pretty quick and well thought out. I was not gone for long.

If you notice some asshole with a huge TV that isn't theirs call somebody.

Be extra safe folks!

I used to live over that way, never felt unsafe, but I assume you have been to that Price Chopper at Roe and 51st. Thievery is not exactly surprising. Sucks though, dude. It would be completely reeruned of them, but I would keep my eye on Craigslist over the next week or so, you never know.

The wife was making pork chops for the fam and the hubby worked 2nd shift and got home somewhere around 10-10:30 but the fam ate around 630 or so iirc.

The wife had put two pork chops and a full plate in the oven to keep it warm till her husband came home. ( that dude probably ate some dry ass food every night)

Before the fam ate, the brothers asked if they had made them any and the lady was very rude to them and basically berated them telling them they should eat before they go to customers houses and whatnot...when all they were doing was joking with her.

So, they get done with the install ...get the signatures...and as they are walking past the kitchen on their way out they open it up and each of them took a pork chop off the plate and left with it.

haha

I thought that was funny as hell, even though it wasn't expensive I could just imagine the look on the ladies face when she found out...

They came in the next day and when asked about it admitted to it and laughed about it.

I know they got fired that day for it and ended up being charged something like 500 bucks as a chargeback off their final check for the instance.

They are basically infamous in the DTV tech society for that. I wouldnever do something like that, but I LOLd that they would it.

...

Apart from that, I know of guys that took rolexes from houses and other stuff, but they almost always get caught and 99% of the time if a customer calls and says a tech stole something, they are fired at the end of the day.

...

Rule of thumb on technicians coming to your house to do an install...

if they drive a POS brokedick truck or van and look like they are on drugs, dont leave their site and make damn sure you dont leave keys laying around.

can you offer up some details?

How did they get in?

Was the stuff in a place only certain people knew where it was?

Any "strange" things come to mind after clearing your head and thinking about it? Anything "out of place"?

How long were you gone and how many people knew you were gonna be gone?

Oh, house. I read the title wrong and thought that your horse got jacked.

Either way, that sucks! The only time I've had anything of value stolen was when we lived in Wichita. Some morons stole my '84 Monte Carlo. What they didn't know was that it was having problems and would only stay running for a short time. The next morning we received a call from the police telling me that my car was at the bottom of a fricken ravine. It took 2 tow trucks to get it out of there. Needless to say, it was completely totaled.

So, yeah, instead of cutting their losses and just leaving the car in a parking lot somewhere, the assholes smashed it all to hell.

These are hard times and good people will do bad things simply in order to afford an IPad at Christmastime. Is it sad? In a word; Yes, it is sad. It is real sad. Dead Santa sad. It is dead, rotting, decaying, molderingly putrid corpse of dead Santa sad.

Nevertheless, civilization cannot be allowed to deteriorate at the whim of local crack hos, juvenile delinquents, and Piscatelli fans. Far from it. It is now time to take back our beloved society from these thugs and weasels. We must lash back at these ne'er do wells with all our strength, recover Mr. |Zach|'s belongings, and discontinue their ability to drive, walk, and do a number two. That means action.

And, after we have taken a bunch of cool action and deprived these ne'er do wells of all that stuff, hot girls will check us out and think, "Wow. These guys are like movie stars!"

Then shall their aesthetically satisfying lap hair be draped with care across our emotional pelvises.
