Nor should they. This is just one of those business decisions where you have to take the lesser of two bad roads:

1. Let him walk.

2. Pay your starting corners $100 million.

I vote to let him walk, given those choices. There are good corners you can find on the market, the draft is loaded in the first three rounds, Jalil Brown has starter upside, and Travis Daniels and Javier Arenas can man the position for another year should we find ourselves in a tough spot.

It sucks, but you can't have every present under the Christmas Tree.
Good Corners don't grow on trees. Considering the amount of cap space this team has, there is no excuse to not tie him him. Rookie Qb's come dirt cheap, so by the time our hopefully franchise QB is rdy for his second contract, Carr & Flowers will be up and probably on the downside of their career.

If they let him walk, then we just have another ****ing hole to fill.

There is no good reason to not pay the man. None. Don't care how you slice it. And don't give me this "100M Locked up corners" BS.

How much do we have locked up on DE's? How much money did they throw at a broke dick Qb?

Too much money for corners....pffff.....yeah ****ing right....

That didn't stop the Eagles from buying two legit #1's.

We don't get nothing if Carr walks. We end up most likely with a 4th round compensatory pick in 2012. That's not nothing. We're also not having to invest $100 million in our starting corners, which limits our flexibility once we have to get up to that mandatory cap.

In addition to that, you can actually draft corners in several places throughout the draft and land a starter, unlike other positions. Carr himself was a 5th rounder.

Plus we do have serviceable corners right now with Arenas and Daniels. I'm not suggesting either of them are shutdown #2s (Arenas is developing nicely in the slot, though...) but that assures we won't have an empty cupboard should we lose Carr.

In addition, Jalil Brown with a full offseason has really great upside..

We'll see.

Edit: It'd be 2013.

I'd rather have Carr, a legit #1 Corner than a 4th rounder that might not even make the team. What else are you going to spend the money on? I mean Really. 30 Million freaking dollars of cap space and money is your #1 concern? Pfffff....

I doubt the Chiefs resign Carr, that I can agree with, that doesn't make them right though. If money is a concern then they should just cut Cassel And Jackson.

Boom! Problem Solved. I'd rather have Carr than either of those bastards.

Like I said, I don't care how you slice it, there is NO reason for Carr not to be resigned.
