*If, as expected, Todd Haley does not survive in Kansas City, Josh McDaniels could end up with the Chiefs three years after many thought he would land there. Chiefs general manager Scott Pioli could hire his old buddy from their New England days to be his head coach—if he could sell McDaniels to Clark Hunt. Or, Pioli could hire a defensive minded head coach and make McDaniels the coordinator, assuming McDaniels is fired in St. Louis. Aside from the Pioli connection, another reason McDaniels makes sense on the other end of Missouri is he has a strong relationship with Matt Cassel. In fact, the quarterback and his former offensive coordinator still talk frequently.

I don't care if McDaniels is the next Head coach. I don't care if Matt Cassel is the QB. I do want Haley fired.

I know his supporters want to point to injuries and the fact that this team has won 5 games.

I point to getting blown out four times and getting one TD in the entire month of November.

I point to the rumors of him struggling to get along with several people. I understand they are rumors. But, when there are so many with so many different people... yeah, I start to believe them.

Jesus, no kidding! I guess if this happens, you can't say Pioli is worried about putting butts in the seats like Carl was. Thing is, if he does this, I'm not real sure what Pioli is trying to do, 'cause not only is he not trying to put butts in the seats, he would be selling to the fan base that we are not trying to win a Super Bowl either. It would be very interesting from a sociological perspective to see how the Chiefs fanbase would react to such a hire. Hiring McDaniels sounds like the worst business decision that Pioli and Clark could ever make. I'm not even sure Pawnmower would support it.
