Kadeem Green is transferring. Damn - that's pretty brutal. One of the shallowest teams in the NCAA just got even thinner.

Gonna be hard to make it through an entire conference season like this. There simply are not enough bodies to throw at the problem at this point.
Good thing Andrew Jones walked on. Honestly, he can probably give Missouri just as much as Green was going to.

That Achilles' injury killed this kid's career. He was an explosive, athletic player before. Looks like he will never get that back. Too bad, because he would have been a great college player (reminded me a lot of Miss. State's Jarvis Varnardo BEFORE the injury).

Missouri needs an eighth guy off the bench who can contribute some fouls and rebounding on the inside.

I'd like to once again thank Mike Anderson for royally screwing this year's version of the Missouri Tigers, btw. Bravo, Mike. Bravo.

Long-term, Green's transfer is a non-issue because I think this staff can easily recruit above his talent level.

But I believe his loss does negatively impact our chance at winning the Big 12 this season. At best, Green provided 5 fouls and a big body on defense. It is not reasonable to believe that Ratliffe and/or Moore will not get in serious foul trouble at all during Big 12 play. Teams will attack our weakness, which clearly is front court depth.

We now have two walk-ons in Rosburg and Jones that may need to play significant minutes at certain points during conference and NCAA tournament play. That is a scary proposition.

Definitely agree that I'd like one more real interior reserve. I don't think Green was really going to become much more than a guy that gives you fouls and some rebounding, which even a walk-on like Andrew Jones can provide.

You don't use bench players more during conference play. If anything, you use them less. Green picked up 3 fouls in a 29 point win against ND and 4 against Northwestern State in a 34 point win.

He didn't play against Villanova or Illinois, and he had no stats outside a single foul.in his 1 minute against ODU. Those were our 3 closest games, and he logged a total of 1 minute of court time.

I wish the guy well. He won't be missed, though.
