Doesn't have a single thing to do with your economic status. I presume you're not posting from the library. You have enough money to support your ISP on a monthly basis then you have enough money to support this site once in a while. If there is any regular on this site who can prove to me that they couldn't possibly ever send $20 once a year to the place where they spend so much time and they don't drink, smoke, or otherwise waste $20 elsewhere then I'll give you supporter status. I don't think such a person exists.
