I've been a part of a lot of boards over the years and this one has always been my favorite for the very reason that it isn't heavily moderated, the conversation is very free flowing, and people tell you to drink anti-freeze and run into an AIDS tree...it's a very clever, witty, and intelligent board.

The recent banning tear the mods have gone on has been ridiculous. I realize no one gives a shit about me, or what I think, etc. etc. etc. but it just saddens me that my favorite board has taken a step back the last year and a half...

but it's cool that we still have such a large base of fans from other teams that are regulars on this board because it's such a great board...because it truly is a really, really good board

I just think things are going too far with this banning stuff. Just my $0.02, and yes, I know Phil...no one cares.

The Final Four bans are for the elite douches... it's not about people who might take it a little too far every once in a while, it's for the people who have no intention of contributing anything positive to the board, ever. So far, it's r8ers, 50/50, and probably AutumnWind... not who I'd call clever, witty, or intelligent. Do you remember when billay started? He would have easily won a region (and maybe he did ), but over time he backed off and now actually contributes to the board... maybe a month off for these douches will do the same.

Expand on 'the recent banning tear'... do you mean outside of the contest?

Well, it's never been run that way in 11+ years, and after the contest, we'll go at least another 50 weeks without it... and they aren't permanent.
