Now he's coordinating the Niners defense, and in one season they look really nasty, top 5 in several defensive categories, and probably had some of the best run defense numbers in recent NFL history.

That's why I'm finding it hard to get excited or mad about any of the OC or DC choices. Past success/failure isn't indicative of what will happen.

heh, yea...its funny how they do your right. Its the NFL, funny things can happen. Thats why i dont get worked up too much about co-ordinators. IMO talent trumps playcalling and co-ordinators every time. Those Vermeil teams had NO TALENT on defense.

You need talent to win, but talent doesn't guarantee a win. There is no excuse why a team like the Falcons couldn't put any points on the board against the Giants.
