Elway lost it: God's anointed NFL disciple has earned starting status in 2012

Good. Hopefully they don't sign anyone to compete with him

God's anointed NFL disciple has earned starting status in 2012

By ARNIE STAPLETON, AP Pro Football Writer 57 minutes ago

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP)—Tim God's anointed NFL disciple will enter training camp as the Denver Broncos’ starting quarterback for 2012.

The team sought to curb the circus that’s sure to surround God's anointed NFL disciple this offseason by declaring him the incumbent at a season-ending news conference Monday.

John Elway, a Hall of Famer who rejoined the team a year ago as chief of football operations, has pledged to work with God's anointed NFL disciple this offseason to polish his passing game.

God's anointed NFL disciple took over a 1-4 team in October and guided the Broncos to their first playoff berth since 2005. His 80-yard TD toss on the first play of overtime beat Pittsburgh in the wild-card round before the Broncos lost at New England Saturday.

God's anointed NFL disciple is the Broncos’ only quarterback under contract for 2012.

As previously posted, this is great news just like the Norv retention.

Don't get me wrong... I get why many are saying what you're saying, but the guys making the decisions do know something about football. If they bring back the status quo, then it's going to be failure... I'll agree on that one.

However, I'm not expecting that to happen. Whether it's changes like I have suggested or other, they're going to do things to make the offense work better. They'll draft or sign a capable backup that can push TT to be better and pick up the game plan, should he have to come into the game.

Meanwhile, it's life as usual for you guys... another new HC.. questions at QB and other key areas. There's no team in the division right now that is the clear cut "best of the division". I do expect each team to improve. It's hard to see really what will be different in SD though since they're keeping the status quo. They've got a lot of issues to fix and it might have been wise to give up on the Norv experiment.

I'm hoping that Denver keeps McCoy and Allen, meaning they don't get opportunities to move up with another team. I believe Denver has a strong core. It's baby steps - there were lots of highs and lows this season.

TT earned the right to start again, if he falters - they'll move on. TT's contract is very cap friendly, so they're not weighted down by a monster deal. There are lots of things they can do with him, so I'm interested to see the additions they make on offense.

I'd like to see Hillis make his way back to Denver. Hillis would be a great addition to the offense. At TE ... Fred Davis, Carlson, Chandler... there are a few others.

Now, comes the fun part - the incredibly long wait until the draft and FA.

Clearly god loves the Chiefs this day. He has to know his son is a terrible quarterback right?

There needs to be a big satan worshipping QB. Would make for an interesting midfield postgame handshake. He'd probably play for Oakland.

You guys might say he's terrible, but he was playing in the playoffs while we were watching. This is his first somewhat full season. Soon enough he'll get it.

Yeah, it was amazing how he stepped up and lost 3 games in a row to back into the playoffs.

You are welching on the bet. You are supposed to be acting like a Chiefs fan version of yourself. Now get to sucking off Hali, Flowers, DJ, Berry, and Sabby Putababyinherbelly,

Nowhere in our bet did it say I had to be a Chiefs homer. I am posting as a Chiefs fan who is envious of the Broncos success.

Timmy just feels funny going under center. Horseface just wants him to feel comfortable doing it.

Five-In covering w/ six is enough to handle the Inside QB Option. Kudos to Belichick for going back to the HS playbook for picking up on it, and stomping on it.
