No, although the way I constructed the sentence I see how you could read it that way. I would be happier trading down and not taking a QB at all.

In the OP it was a given that Pioli reaches in the 2nd or picks up a mid-round QB. That would not be my preference, but that was the given scenario. I could live with that scenario only if the Chiefs bring in a legitimate FA to compete for the starting job. Under no circumstances do I want to see Cassell competing against Stanzi and a middle round rookie for the starting job.
