By far, the hardest fight in KP on HM is the first boss, the Rancor thing. Biggest pain in the butt. After that it's just easy mode. |

Also we found that if the whole raid sits in the middle circle with Soa, its a lot easier to heal with AE heals. Then you have your ranged dps do the mind traps while melee stays on Soa. This all being phase 3 of course. Phase 5 is not as strict on placement, just make sure that who ever gets called for the lightning balls goes to the balls no matter what, unless its the tank, then well, try not to get ****ed too hard. |

Does anyone have any advice on keeping geared up? I was beating mobs just fine with T7 tanking. Then I got to Alderaan, and all of a sudden mobs seem to be beating us up a lot more. Regular mobs are fine, but "Strong" mobs are knocking T7 down to about 25% health before I am able to finish it off.
I've tried going to the AH to find upgrades for T7, but there's hardly ever anything available for droids. And most of the mods seem to be for Willpower or Cunning. Any tips? As you level, what do you keep an eye to make sure that you're in line gear-wise? |

So my buddy and guildy created this drinking game. All credit goes to CapnJammo. You can find the link on Reddit right here. This is going to be awesome. We will probably be doing this a week from tomorrow.

As far as gear goes, the only real thing for a Sentinel to worry about are the hilts. You should have blue quality hilts on your sabers that are within 1 level of you (there's a new one available every 2 levels starting at level 7 and going all the way to level 49) at all times. The way to get them is to craft the green hilts using Artifice and then R/E them until you learn the blue schematics. I have them all unlocked, so I can make them for you depending on the mats available to me at the time. Feel free to hit me up whenever you want.

Oh yeah, totally agree with the RNG then. Add that to the RNG of what bug and how many times you'll see it and it's just an awesome fight.

Thanks for the tips. I'll take a look at the hilts I currently have and hit you up if I need upgrades. I also need to look into my rotation and see if there's anything I'm doing wrong there (or not using). |

I found for me that things sped up exponentially when I dropped the droid for Kira. I use her the same way I used him, to draw initial aggro, but when she goes in she's basically a buzzsaw. Things die very quickly. Being watchman and using zen helps as well. Keep in mind that if she gets very hurt, you don't have to heal her up (at least not right now). You can simply dismiss and resummon.
I'm actually the other end of the spectrum in terms of completionist with my knight. I only do the planetary series and my class quests on any given planet, skip the side quests (i've already done them all on other characters) and heroics (I almost never group), only (occasionally) do space combat, although that's a very large amount of xp when you hit a level with new missions. I really don't worry about my gear at all aside from hilts. Everything I fight is on-level, and I haven't found anything to be all that challenging unless I'm on a key class mission. That's really the only time I have to be on my toes, and basically the only time I ever pull doc (the healer) out. Kira's not always real good for fighting elites and champions. Just my perspective. I realize it's not the norm as far as knights and sentinels go. |
