Peyton Manning to visit Denver TONIGHT to meet with Donks

Peyton Manning will be in Denver tonight visiting with the Broncos, according to two NFL sources.

This is getting serious, folks.

Manning, arguably the most decorated free agent in NFL history, has the Broncos on his short list. The long-time Indianapolis Colts quarterback was released earlier this week amid concerns about his neck, a $26 million bonus payment and the team's opportunity to select highly prized quarterback Andrew Luck with the No. 1 pick in the upcoming NFL draft.

Manning, 36, has been cleared to throw by his neck specialist, Dr. Robert Watkins. One NFL source said Manning will also visit the Arizona Cardinals and Miami Dolphins after visiting with the Broncos. A source said Manning would like to make a decision by Tuesday, the first day of free agency.

The Broncos' top brass of John Elway, coach John Fox and general manager Brian Xanders, are currently in Stillwater, Okla., watching the Oklahoma State Pro Day workout that features quarterback Brandon Weeden.

The Broncos have the No. 25 pick in the draft, plus the 25th selection in the second round. Weeden, who turns 29 in October, is considered the second-best passer to Luck in the draft and has been projected to go between the Broncos' top two picks.

Manning will turn 36 in two weeks.

Or maybe he's planning to visit all the teams so logistically, Denver being first makes sense.

The problem isn't that he's visiting somewhere else first. It's that he has no intention of visiting KC. Everywhere I've read, it has him visiting Denver now, then Arizona, and Miami after that. NO WHERE does it even mention him being INTERESTED in the Chiefs. I won't believe he's interested until I hear they plan on meeting.

The only good thing about the Chiefs showing "interest" in Manning is that they don't believe Cassel is the greatest QB ever. That's all I can think of until Manning shows he's interested in the Chiefs.

i know what this franchise is. Im not blinded. They just flat out suck. There is no other way to put it. THey are scared to draft a qb. They have been since Blackledge. There is no other explanation.

Like i said, this season will be a HUGE HUGE ****ing dissapointment if we dont upgrade our QB. It ****ing sucks that this team is a low tier team. Like the Pirates and Royals, lol It blows.

I hope you're right, I almost think he'll be off of the market tomorrow, he's not the type to fart around, he's a decision maker, a 'doer' if you will. and this is even if the NFL DOES want it to drag out, for nothing less than better topics & viewers. I bet he signs w. a team by Sunday worse-case. ...my gut feelings. Best guess.
