Off Season Lets Talk Guns
Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.
Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon? Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware? Part 2: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=293623 Last edited by Bearcat; 07-28-2015 at 06:06 PM.. |

My new rig... with my old rig.
The new one is the Mini 14 on the top with a borrowed forward grip. Have one in the mail that has two steel prongs that come out to make it a bipod. The oldie, Mossberg Maverick 88. Holds 6 shells but I keep 5 in with a dry fired snap cap. |

Nice zombie rig. That scope if it holds up to the pounding of a Mini? Should do well if you ever decide to hunt Coyotes.
A lil fresh snow & a full moon. You should have no problems at all picking out creatures of the night with that set up. I will be interested to see how the scope holds up to the pounding. PS a lil blue colored thread lock, Lock-Tite is a must to keep your Ruger rings from backing off. Double sided tape will also help hold that scope, to the scope rings.

If you notice, the only rail on the gun (came with 4 mounted) is the bottom one where the tripod will go. I may put one back on for a small laser for CQ but for now it stays plain. The forward and pistol grip are the important parts. I have no desire to go all... |

in order to put a bi pod on my Ranch or any standard mini 14 you need this adapter

Even though you bought a shock prof scope. You still wanna put those 1911 buffers on both ends of the guide rod to keep the OP rod from beating both ends of the receiver up.It is metal on metal till you install the buffers.
Its not a life or death thing. But I would make sure you get it done in the first 1000 rounds or so.

I cant feel a difference. just helps on the wear & tear of the receiver. noticeable difference comes from a adjustable gas block.
http://www.brownells.com/userdocs/pr...00002140_1.jpg & will dramatically improve accuracy
