Over 10 years ago while at Tulsa Self was offered the Nebraska job and turned it down. He used Neb to get a raise at TU.

Interesting, I did not know that. I wonder how things would have turned out had he taken the job?

I think Self would have won there and been able to get Nebraska their first ever NCAA tournament win, but he obviously wouldn't have experienced the same level of success. He probably would have wound up back at Okie State, or Indiana/UCLA type of a job.
