I'm getting old, and I love it, mostly.

Never been a sunglasses wearer, thus never been a sunglasses buyer.

Don't know where I'll land. I am sunglasses-agnostic.

Which are you? Why?

Sunglasses need to do two things: 1) Block 100% of UVA and UVB (and preferably some blue light) and 2) be polarizing and darkening enough to do what they're named for (i.e. blocking the sun from blinding you). After those two facts, you're paying for the name and the style. A $20 pair of sunglasses from Sunglass Hut are just as effective as a $200 pair... and sometimes more effective. Just as I wouldn't buy a $200 pair of sneakers or a $200 pair of pants, I don't buy $200 sunglasses. Aside from being able to say, "Hey, do you like my $200 sunglasses" as a way of telling people how rich you are, there's little point.

I, like Phobia, have been all over this pole.(sounds dirty). I have spent up to $500.00 on shades. 6 years ago, I bought 2 pair of fake Ray Bans, Grey and amber, for $20, in Cancun. They have lasted ever since. They rock! 3 years ago, on a trip to decide where in Fla. we would move, I spottted a pair of Oakley similar shades at a gas station in a Podunk Mo. $10. Had to have them. They have been on the ocean numerous times....on the beach...and no scratch yet. Actually had a friend visit that thought they were Oakleys. I did tell him they weren't. I understand spending the $ on good sunglasses...but I no longer feel the need,

Sunglasses are one of those things I will step up for, to protect my eyes. I like the glass lenses, for their anti scratch properties.

Every time I've had a pair of nice ($75+) sunglasses, I've lost them within a month. Cheap sunglasses seem to find a way to never get lost, no matter what.ive now just adopted a "cheap means keep" mentality. Wish I could have some nice ones but I've yet to prove myself mature enough to handle those, apparently.

I never wore them....2nd contract in Iraq I was outside alot, bought a pair of knockoff's...Found out I do like wearing them, when the knockoff's broke I got a pair off Oakley 1/2 jackets...that was 2 years ago, replaced the lens once, still using the orignal frame..had the arm come off and snapped back in place..wear em everyday..Like them so much I got a 2nd pair to wear when I'm in the states....

Walmart’s sporting section and I’ll buy whatever polarized glasses feel good on my face and don’t make me look like Roy Orbison.

I typically have a couple pairs. I'll have an expensive pair of "sporty" glasses that I wear when I'm running and biking. I think the extra investment is worth the performance. Plus I have less chance to lose or break them if I only wear them when I'm training. I have typically had Oakleys, but I think I'm going to branch out on my next pair.

Then I have a $10 pair of truck stop shades that I wear the rest of the time. Although I lost my last pair a few months ago and haven't replaced them.

I hit up dollar tree.

I need sunglasses for my car, the wife's car, a pair to wear about and I tend to lose them.

Can't afford the upscale stuff. Plus I don't feel bad if something were to happen to them.
