Novice lifting can last anywhere from a few months to a year or two, depending on how hard you hit the weights and where you started. Once you've reached the point where you don't make regular progress on the SS program, you are ready to move on to the intermediate stage, which can last you for a good number of years. So, my uncle (who has been a father-like figure to me) recently had triple bypass surgery. Since then he's been giving me healthy tidbits about what to avoid and what to eat.
My only question, and I know every person is different. But, generally what should your sugar in-take be per day? I've been keeping a food log since the 8th of June and routinely exercising. Is there a general number out there? |

Pistols which are hard as **** to jump into without a bridge like TRX. But that's just one example. I'm not a huge fan, but they seem to be used by people wanting an aerobic circuit type workout, clearly not bodybuilders. Mountain climbers with feet in stirrups seem like they'd be good on it. Push ups with either feet or hands in stirrups. Works stabilizers as well or would seem to.

I do a trx workout once a week with a trainer at my gym. I can do a full body workout without a gym, but, you're right, i don't necessarily need trx for that. I really like doing core work with it. (Pikes, mountain climbers, and atomic pushups are pretty cool in the trx) Single leg squats and some balance exercises are some of my other favorites. I'm also going to be visiting my dad for a while and i won't have access to a gym. It will come in handy there.

Yeah. I discovered with pistols that there are some "tricks" to doing them, in engaging the raised leg. I had a tendency to tap the raised leg to the ground and do a slight push with it, which just makes the pistol harder. Thrust that bitch skywards and it helps activate everything and bring you back up.
