You might want to try re-reading. The point was that the Lakers with Kobe by himself weren't good at all. In contrast, LeBron's team by himself was a fantastic team and one of the best in the league. There's a huge difference there and it's a pretty obvious one to an objective observer.

Shaq was a guy you couldn't give the ball to when the game was on the line at the end of games (big time strike against him). He deferred to Penny, Kobe and then Wade. Duncan never had a #2 equal to any of those guys, save for perhaps Parker this season. Shaq was a mediocre defender. Good shot blocker, but awful in pick and roll. He was physically dominant, no doubt. And that's easier to remember and admire than all of Duncan's qualities. But Timmy was better. Ask any player in the league who they'd rather have as a teammate. I'd bet the farm they'd say Duncan. |

Which conference was better? East or West? Oh thats right... West. Which conference did James play in that had absolutely nothing to offer the NBA? East wasn't it? What happened when James met the West? Did he get swept? Here I am... making noise with my hands in honor of James achievement of nothing by himself. |

The point is when he was playing you couldn't argue that somebody was better like you can now like with James and Kobe. His best tops any other players' best. look even if you found a player more talented MJ's will to win, competitiveness and drive is just f'ing insane and downright unhealthy and nasty. I would never bet against Michael Jordan. Ever.

You're funny. Get back to me when James does something by himself. Elite teams dont get swept in the Finals.

What started this was a top 10 list. Not to have Kobe there with his 5 rings isn't right. I don't care who his teammates were. He's been a dominant player on both ends for stretches in his career, and won titles with and without Shaq. He belongs in the top 10. Could LeBron surpass him? Absolutely, and I think he can be the better player. But that will come with time and additional accomplishments....I'm not putting him there yet.

Robinson averaged 16 and 10 during the first one and 9 and 8 during the second. Penny, Kobe and Wade were first team All-NBA guys during their championship runs(or Finals run in Penny's case)with Shaq.
