I think that true "superstars" tend to hit the ground running. And this year has shown that it's not the case with Hosmer.

And I know all about the Bautistas of the world, but I'm interested in more than a handful of outstanding years when I label someone a true superstar, so there's a bit of semantics going on here.

Someone reference Konerko the other day. If you told me right now that Hosmer would have a Konerko-like career, I would consider that epic win.

Superstars DO hit the ground running, they don't have Ken Harvey like sophmore years. Hosmer will be really good when he gets to the Yankees.
