Johnson is scheduled to earn close to $130 million over the next eight seasons, including $113.5 million over the final seven years of the deal, league sources told NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora.

The contract includes $4.5 million in an existing roster bonus that's due on the final year of his rookie deal.

The deal also includes $53 million in guaranteed money, with Johnson's $1.25 million base salary in 2012 guaranteed, and $36 million due in signing and option bonuses. According to La Canfora, $11.5 million in future salary is guaranteed for injury only.

The contract makes Johnson -- who scorched the NFL with 96 catches for 1,681 yards and 16 touchdowns in 2011 -- the highest-paid wide receiver in league history, surpassing the eight-year, $120 million deal that Larry Fitzgerald signed with the Arizona Cardinals before last season.

Mind blowing.
I'm going to say this and it's a true story.

I have a Cassel jersey. The name patch started coming off last year, unraveling.

Fitting looking back.

Only jersey I have that has happened to. And I worn my Dawson, len not lake, and my dj infinitely more times.

Lol. Dude, I also bought a Cassel jersey. Summer of 2009. It had the 50th anniversary AFL patch on it and everything. I really liked that jersey a lot when I bought it.

Now I stick to the same Holmes, Gonzalez, and Hall jerseys I've been wearing since 2002. I'll dig out my REALLY old #11 Grbac jersey before I don that piece of shit #7 I bought.

Don't feel too bad. I was in the mall after our win over the Rams in 2010.

I walked past a sports apparel store and saw a beautiful red #7 jersey with the words CASSEL emblazoned upon it's shoulders.

I walked in, gazed upon it, and smiled. Fingered my wallet. Paused. Thought about it. Smiled again.

Walked out of the store and haven't been back.

Bowe should get around the average of the top 5 to 7 players. IMO

JFC. We've sat through 3 decades of Steve Bono/ Damon Huard/ Matt Cassel, yet people still act like the front office got it right because they didn't draft a Jamarcus Russell.

List every QB drafted in the last decade. That's who we should have gotten. Any/every one of them. There's no more risk in that than the tried and true method of thinking we are outsmarting teams by taking their castoffs and making them into starting QBs.

Even with the benefit of hindsight, I still firmly believe the organization failed for lack of trying.

Got a ton of Jerseys, keep them in a decent rotation during season, but my dj and Dawson get the most play it seems
