Dorsey was a mistake, along with Jackson. I am not saying Dorsey is not a good player. He just was not the guy for the position we drafted him to play. Him and TJ both are 4-3 guys. That being said I think Dorsey has improved in making the change but I still say it was wrong to draft him for a 3-4 to begin with.

Wasn't Dorsey drafted when we were still a 4-3 defense?

Both have big Y on the helmet.. big difference. Don't need to follow a player to figure out how they were used in a system. Either way I think he is a better keep than a strict FB position.

yea, ignore pete.

it's the scheme ... the 2-gap 3-4 scheme generally makes Dlineman look like shit. If you want to judge a guy in our scheme then you judge them by how they protect the linebackers.

Which is why i say that drafting DE's for our scheme should be mid round picks. It's just too hard to find a Reggie White to keep dumping high draft picks on the attempt.

You want a guy with natural leverage and strength who is great at hand fighting. You can find those in the mid rounds. Save the high picks for positions with a greater chance to be game-changers.

You analyzed him closely enough to educate us on what offensive system he played in and in what capacity he was used,

but because he had a Y on his helmet you overlooked what team he was on.

Makes sense to me.
